Description

Dagma's favorite tomato varieties are now offered in a collection. From her many years of harvesting and tasting our heirloom tomatoes, these are the varieties that have stood out for providing exceptional abundant crops of distinctive and delightful flavors. This collection offers a diversity of color, size, shapes and flavors for your garden and your kitchen.

Amish Gold has been one of our most popular smaller tomato varieties for more than fifteen years.
Tiger Paw is a relatively unknown variety, even though we have grown this every year for twenty years. It is a delicate tomato with a shorter shelf-life, and has to be harvested with gentle hands. It offers a burst of juicy, fruit-like sweetness that makes it difficult to avoid eating during harvest.
Black Prince
has always been one of our favorite black varieties for the abundance of robust, earthy flavors it offers. This is a wonderful addition to salads or making dark, rich sauces.
Marianna's Peace
, of course Dagma's all-time favorite, for flavor and beauty, and because it was named for her mother. See a detailed description of its history. All of the varieties in this collection are well suited to being included in a colorful tomato salad together or separately for a taste experience on their own.

A great selection of shapes, colors and sizes of heirloom tomatoes for your garden with the most delicious flavors. This heirloom tomato collection containes individual packs of the following tomato varieties: (25-30 seeds/pack)

  • Amish Gold - (Cross between Amish Paste and Sungold. Regular-leaf tomato plants that yield HUGE crops of 1 1/2"-2" long, oblong shaped, gorgeous golden tomatoes with sharply-pointed end. Fruit has the gold color and flavor of the Sungold, the meatiness of the Amish Paste and delicious sweet/tart tomato flavors that will have you want this as a favorite tomato in your garden. A rare tomato variety. Indeterminate. 80 Days)
  • Tiger Paw - (A very productive heirloom from a Tennessee grower. Pale-yellow with pink blush, lightly-lobed, flattened fruit (shape and markings like a cats paw) with thin skin a tropical-sweet flavor and a distinct hint of citrus. Very pretty fruit. Indeterminate. 77 Days)
  • Hazel Mae - (Plant produces a good yield of large, 1-2 lb., yellow tomatoes with some red striping and/or marbling. Excellent sweet tropical fruit flavors. Indeterminate. 85 Days)
  • Black Prince - (Originally from Siberia, this is one of the most popular and favored black tomatoes. Originally introduced from Irkutsk, Russia and is regarded as a "true Siberian tomato" that does very well in cooler climates. Until only recently this was considered a rare variety in the United States. However, its popularity has grown so much in Russia that there is now a company in Volograd that is producing an extract of the Black Prince called "Black Prince Tomato Oil." The Black Prince tomato is said to have considerable health benefits beyond the presence of lycopene. These deep-garnet, round, 2-inch, (2-3 oz.) tomatoes are full of juice and incredibly rich fruity flavors. Perfect for patio gardens, eating fresh, and cooking in tomato sauce. Indeterminate. 70 Days)
  • Lime Green Salad - (Small plants that produce abundant sprays of round, lime-green tomatoes that ripen further to an amber color. Great for growing in containers since plants stay small yet provide a big harvest. Fruits are 3-5 oz., chartreuse inside, full of juice and a luscious, tangy flavor. Semi-Determinate. 58 Days)
  • Camp Joy - (Developed by the late horticultural expert Alan Chadwick. Heavy bearing open-pollinated variety that offers an abundance of luscious 1", cherry tomatoes with huge, well-balanced, sweet tomato flavors. Camp Joy cherry is our most popular and favorite cherry tomato. Strong disease resistant. Perfect for snacking or salads. A winner! Indeterminate. 81 Days)
  • Zarnitza - (A short indeterminate heirloom from a region 50 miles south of Moscow. (Zarnitsa translates as "Summer Lightning.") A very early and prolific variety that produces red, 2 1/2 to 3- inch tomatoes. Disease and crack resistant. Delicious, sweet, buttery and juicy. One of the best early varieties. Indeterminate. 60 days)
  • Marianna's Peace - (Old, heirloom tomato from Czechoslovakia. Seeds came to Gary Ibsen through Marianna's sister in 2000. Indeterminate, tall, bushy, potato-leaf plants produce 1-2 lb., dark-pink, beefsteak tomatoes with dense, creamy, flesh with rich complex, well-balanced "old-fashioned" flavors. Indeterminate. 85 Days)
  • German Red Strawberry - (This German heirloom produces large, red, oxheart tomatoes that are shaped like a much large strawberry. Plants yield an abundance of meaty, 3-inch wide, by 3 1/2-inch long, fruits that can grow to 1-2 pounds. Copious amount of delicious, robust, "old-tomato" flavors with a lingering sweetness. A perfect tomato for slicing into sandwiches. Indeterminate. 85 Days)
