Red Buddha was created by celebrated tomato breeder, Jeff Dawson, from an original crossing of Sungold and Amish paste. From this cross, in the 2nd generation, came two different varieties he named Amish Gold and Amish Red. From the Amish Red, in a later generation, came this beautiful red slicer, Red Buddha, which has been stabilized for seven generations and contains some background hints of the luscious flavor components of Sungold.
Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces exceptional crop of 3-4", red, oblate fruits with rich, complex and well-balanced, slightly-acidic flavors.
This has all the attractive qualities for a wonderful market tomato. A winner!
