These vigorous dwarf plants are among the most spreading and branching of the dwarf varieties. Determinate, dwarf plants with rugose regular leaf foliage produce heavy yields of 6-16 oz., medium-large, heart-shaped, purple-black tomatoes with deep-crimson flesh with a delicious well-balanced flavors. History: Developed by the Dwarf Tomato Project. Originated with a cross between Dwarf Wild Fred and Brad's Black Heart made by Vince Lavallo and named "Porky." It was selected and named by Vince. Among those who contributed to stabilizing this variety are Linda Black, Patrina Nuske Small, Amanda Fischer, Robbins Hail, Lisa Moore, Lurley Hernandez, Paul Fish, Kenny Jacobs, Stuart Pollack, Jessica Dubin, John Graham, Stephanie McVeigh, Antoniette Koshykar, and Craig LeHoullier. This variety is associated with the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI).
