Golden Buddha was created by celebrated tomato breeder, Jeff Dawson, from
an original crossing of Sungold and Amish paste. From this cross, in the
2nd generation, came two different varieties he named Amish Gold and
Amish Red. The second generation of Amish Gold produced multiple tomato types including Golden Buddha, which has been stabilized for seven
generations and contains some background flavor characteristics of Sungold.
Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces
exceptional crop of 3-4", orange, oblate fruits with rich, complex and
well-balanced, sweet but slightly-acidic flavors. This has all the attractive qualities for an prize winning tomato. A winner!
