Since 1991 Yellow Brandywine has become an American favorite heirloom tomato. The Platfoot strain of Yellow Brandywine, from Gary Platfoot of Ohio, is considered to produce smoother fruit and a better yield than the original strain from Charles Knoy of Indiana in 1991. Our TomatoFest organic tomato seeds produce big, indeterminate, potato-leaf tomato plants that yield large amounts of 1 lb., 3 to 5-inch, yellow-orange (gold), flattened, slightly ribbed shouldered beefsteak tomato with delicious, intense sweet flavors balanced with a slight tartness. One of the best-tasting yellow tomatoes we have grown.
