A perfect choice for cooler coastal climates. Early-maturing, large, 3-4", red, paste tomatoes borne from this early maturing tomato variety. 'Oregon Star' fruits have very few seeds (parthenocarpic), are good for storage, slicing into salads or processing due to firmness.
History: This favored tomato variety is the 'sister' to 'Oregon Pride' and also a product of Dr. James Baggett's program at Oregon State University. This was stabilized from a cross between 'Roma' and 'Santiam' and was released in 1993. This is an exceptional tomato for building a prize-winning tomato sauce.
