A popular Hungarian bi-colored heirloom tomato. Translated from the Hungarian, Csikos (striped), Botermo ("early"). Original seed via Rose-Marie Lacherez, Austria. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants produce copious amounts of 2 1/2-inch, orange-red globe with light orange striping. A highly productive, delicious tomato with wonderful acidic (tangy) flavors. Well balanced acidic flavors. Good tomato for salads and canning. (Until I was recently corrected by one of our customers from Hungary, I had this tomato variety incorrectly listed as Esikos Botermo.)
